When first reaching R100 you lose the ability to access the drow, dragon, and dwarf alignments. Normally at this stage you can not obtain the lineage of your alignment. I was wondering if it is intentional that if you align with evil despite not being able to align as drow you cannot select and therefore benefit from the drow lineage. I think it would make sense that you could select drow lineage as evil until you get access to the drow alignment again.

Not a bug. You cannot use the lineage of your base faction or respective prestige factions even if they're not active right now.
Only way to do so is later on by unlocking a specific Artifact Set effect.

might I suggest updating the description of the lineage in game as it only mentions that you cannot get lineage of your currently selected factions
